Very cool! However, are they dimmable because this looks too bright. Also how are they turned on - when door opens or you have a switch? It has to be hooked up to door trigger switch on the pillar, otherwise it defeats the purpose to illuminate cabin during entrance/exit.
Looks very nice, but as someone mentioned they are way too bright. Should only be this bright when you open the doors.
No need to go to the pillar to tap on any wires, there is a set of door open wires (FR,FL,RR,RL) in the accessory connector under the driver's dash. That accessory wire bundle is hidden, but it is right by the foot brake, you can tap into those wires. I hook up mine to Batt+, GND, Illumination +, and ACC, this way I have 3 mode of brightness (Day, Night and Door Open), but you will need to use a relay to accomplish this.
If the accessory cable is not there, you can buy it from your nissan dealer ($12)
that i need to look for i just tapped in the interior lightning its just always on when the headlight is on. also have a dimmer that came with the led strips .
If you just need the LED to turn on when you open the doors, then no need for a relay. Just hook up the positive from the LED to the BAT SAVER OR BAT (+12V), and the negative to the appropriate DOOR SW (+12V when CLOSED, and 0V when door OPEN).
If you are trying to have the LED have different brightness depending on night, day or when door open, then it gets more involved. You would need to use a relay. but whenever you use a relay, you have to make sure to protect the circuit that provides the trigger, in this case the DOOR SW. You would connect a diode to the relay to prevent EMF feedback when you turn off the relay, otherwise it can damage the circuit. If you want to go this way, I can draw you the circuit and how to connect everything.
Here is the relay you would need for the latter: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B017VDI0GY/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o04_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
and the diode you would need: https://www.amazon.com/NightFire-El...8&qid=1466861305&sr=1-1&keywords=diode+1n4004
