Default Is there a mobile version of this forum?

Whenever I access this site from my Iphone, the startup page I have selected shows all new posts.

Unfortunately, that page also features the slow loading header ads for the SEMA show and the crossover Nissan thing. (Really, do we need to see that ALL the time?)

So I'll load the page, scroll past the SEMA show ad, then click into a topic.

After reading the topic, I'll back arrow, then it loads up that darn slow loading front page again. Usually, at that point, I've said the heck with this, and googled elsewhere.

So, is there a faster mobile version or not?

I'll ask ADMIN and let you know.

I like your "Where did I leave my car" app. Out of curiosity, which dot represents the location - red or blue? What is the other dot for? Is it "this is where you are now"? If it is, that is pretty slick.

The red dot is the car, you are the roving blue dot. It's like you're living in a video game!

It's called Park N Find. Like most apps, it's over-kill! But for 99 cents, it's a steal!

Is the testing just a m.version or an app?

Not ready yet. Will let you know as soon as it is ready for release.
Hopefully sooner that later.

Sorry for the delay.

I finally left my cave, started walking upright, discovered fire, and bought a smart-phone. Now where is that forum app you were talking about?

Oh I'm excited!! I get to help one of the forum gurus!! On the IPhone it's called autoguide. Probably the same in blackberry or similar. If you open the forum in a web browser it should offer it to you, or search for the app in the app store.

Ha!
If you have a Droid, load the Market app and search for "autoguide". It costs $3.10... should be free.

Thanks, evjm, for pointing me in the right direction.

And Phatty McPatty, you are right, it should be free especially if you are a contributing member of the forum.

And to the cute blonde stepping into Mr3Putt's cold shower , I bought a Motorola Droid X.

I picked up a refurbished Droid X from Verizon for $19.95. I had a $30 credit from their "New, every two years" program and bundled it with the $49.95 sale they have for the Droid-X refurb. For a first-time smartphone user it more than meets my expectations.

That's a heck of a deal!

Although I've been forced to have a cell phone for years, I too was reluctant to upgrade to a smart phone. My kids have had Iphones (that Papa bear has been financing) since inception.

Last year, we were headed to Vegas and I usually lugged along my laptop for email and vacation work duties. I spied my Daughters "old" Iphone sitting in the junk drawer and thought "what the hell"? I swapped out the SIM, and upgraded to a better data plan for my number (what's another $20 added to that ridiculous monthly?)

Long story short..... I finally see what all the fuss is about! I freaking love this thing! I can respond to emails on the golf course, play video games on airplanes, keep a synced calendar, google goggle stuff (get that app!), set my dvr from anywhere, the list goes on and on! (did I mention it's also a phone)

(I'm not trying to brag about my "hipness", but I have over 400 songs on mine, some of which you may have heard of!)

It's funny, my first cell phone weighed about 4 pounds, it would charge all night and last almost 7 hours if you didn't make too many 69 cent per minute calls. My Iphone, weighs 4 ounces, charges in an hour and lasts at least two days while doing everything.
