No idea why you'd have to choose Atlantic. I just checked in my control panel, and I find "GMT -7:00 Mountain (US and Canada)" listed there, two spots above "Atlantic".

I wasn't specific enough. The problem is that if I choose the mountain time zone the forum tells me the wrong time. In order for the forum time to be correct on my computer, forum time being listed at the bottom of each thread, I need to set the time zone to Atlantic.

I am on a number of forums and this is the only one where the time shows up incorrectly, at least for me. I am on a hockey forum that had a global problem similar to this and the mods made a change that corrected it.

I'm probably being picky but I like to see software work correctly.

Ahhhh....I see what you mean. The time displayed at the bottom of the forum screen for me is three hours too early. I'd never noticed this before! I'm guessing there's some setting the owner/moderator of the forum needs to correct.

Yeah, most forum software has a "What timezone is the server in?" setting, which drives everything else. The software doesn't know it's wrong. The default is probably east coast, but I'm betting the server is on the west coast or something. I never noticed it myself and probably never would have.

Hmmm... I see this at the bottom:

"All times are GMT -5 hours. The time now is 08:33 AM."

Of course, the current time for me is 1:33 PM. So I think something still may be incorrect. You've made some setting so it's GMT -5, but my personal setting is GMT -5 (Eastern) and it's subtracting another 5 hours off of that.
