Default Posting pictures?

I have really enjoyed being a part of this forum and have appreciated the pictures you all have uploaded to explain various scenarios related to the Murano. I have been unable to upload pictures and was curious as to what the process is to do this? Can anyone explain how the process works? Thanks in advance.

The real trick is that when you have the picture you want to post visible in another browser window, you have to right click on the picture (on a PC) for the pictures properties, the address that you see is the one that you copy and paste into the box with the HTTP address in it.

A lot of people make the mistake of putting in the address of the picture that shows in the address bar in IE for example. They get just the red x in a box instead of the picture they want.

Of course you need to upload the pictures in the first place to a site that hosts them and not have any passwords on the site where you upload the pictures. Once you do it a couple of times, it's pretty cool and a great way to communicate with other members.

What's even nicer, is you can actually upload a picture with your post. So you don't have to have it hosted somewhere else....

When you're posting, use the section that says "Attach file:" under the options.

Thank you all for your help. I'll probably upload to Imagestation and try it from there.

Why not upload it to the "gallery" instead? http://www.nissanmurano.org/photopost/

I had problems too. The first thing you can try is finding a web host for your pictures such as IMAGESTATION, MSN, YAHOO, etc... (they are all free), you can upload your pictures to the hosting site and then use the little IMG just above this box to insert the hyper link to your photo . You can also upload to the Member Gallery (next to forums in the menu at the top of the page). To upload to the member gallery you can either use zipped .jpg images or smaller size .jpg images on your hard drive. Hope I helped a little bit and did not confuse you more. Good Luck

You can attach a single picture, you can link to multiple pictures.

If you stick them in your gallery and check out the properties, you can then use that URL to link to them, with the IMG button above the reply window.

Like this:

This is http://www.nissan.co.uk/global/muran.../MT_OV_TOP.gif

with IMG xxx /IMG around it but in square brackets around each tag.

Ahh.... Ok, when a URL shows, instead of an image, that's a property the Admin has to correct under this heading. The forum software allows either and it's selectable. I'll note it to him.

I am having problems posting to the gallery

This is the error message I get:

File upload error. Cannot find uploaded file.
Path: [/home/httpd/vhosts/nissanmurano.org/httpdocs/gallery/3049/9951dtrl-relays.jpg]

I tried it both at home and at work. What am I doing wrong?

Thanks...
