Avoid these guys like the plague. Unless you enjoy being treated rudely, talked down to like you are a simpleton child, and staff acting as if their own convenience is more important than the customer's need to feel that they are making an informed purchase.
I wanted to test drive a couple of different Muranos. The salesman was resistant because "there is no difference between different Muranos" - maybe, but I want to buy one that I have actually tested. Absolutely could not get a vehicle from another dealership. I had to buy from what they had on the lot. This was even before negotiating on price. If we were at the end and I had them at a really good deal, I could understand. When we got to the point on price negotiations where the salesman had to call a manager in (the General Manager, actually, not a Sales Manager), the first thing the manager said was "It looks like you are trying to buy more than you can afford - how about an Altima?". I wish I could describe his tone of voice. You do not win customers by putting them on the defensive. On the first visit I was told that what they had on the lot was all they would get. I was stupid enough to come back for a second try. When I did, they had at least a dozen new Muranos on the lot, still wrapped up in white plastic. I was told they had the color combination I wanted "in the back". When they finally brought it around for me to look at, it was a black interior and not beige. When I told the salesman I didn't like a black interior, he questioned me aggressively, told me it was not logical and tried to convince me to buy it anyway. On the first visit I got a good quote for my trade-in. The mileage was something like 34,800. On the second visit the mileage was something like 35,100. They dropped the trade $2000 and kept saying it was because I had put another 1000 miles on it. Even if I had, that's still low mileage for a 4 year old vehicle. When I corrected his math, the salesman just stared at me. To be clear, I was unhappy with my treatment by this dealership but never angry. This is not a vent, but an honest account of my experience. Some folks might have the fortitude to go into this dealership and come out with a good deal. Some, like me, might not want to put up with the BS. I was actually quite close to where I wanted to be on the purchase, but the attitude of the salesman and General Manager convinced me that I didn't want to do business with Regal.
