All the staff I talked to, from my salesperson to the receptionist, sales manager, finance guy and parts desk were professional and friendly.
I worked with Bouchta Nasir, who is a real gentleman. My impression is that he really struck the balance between helping me get a good deal while still looking out for his employer. He was no pressure, no BS. Obviously, he would have gladly accepted full sticker price if I said that is what I was willing to pay, but once he understood where I wanted to be he really did work to get me there. (Note - where I wanted to be was a price that another dealership told me to my face was "ridiculous and unreasonable"). They got a Murano from another dealership for me - one that was fresh off the truck (less than 30 miles on it when it arrived). They showed me the spec sheet for it so I'd know exactly what packages and accessories were on it before I agreed. Most importantly, they agreed that after I tested it, if I had any issue whatsoever, I could call off the deal. I didn't even have to ask for that consideration. The paperwork process was efficient and there was no pressure to buy extended warranties, paint or fabric treatments, etc. There was no 'coaching' about the customer survey. In fact, it was not even mentioned once. Bouchta went over the controls and features of the vehicle using the quick-start guide and was in no hurry to rush me off, even though it was already after hours. Did I get exactly the price I was going for? No, but I got within a few hundred dollars of it and eventually got them to throw in the stainless bumper guard, and all weather mats and cargo liner (and I also kept the carpeted ones). Capitol City seems to be a well-managed business with clear guidelines and expectations for all of its employees. They certainly focus on customer service and satisfaction and I would recommend them to anyone who prefers not to have the innate stress of buying a new vehicle compounded by pressure tactics and BS. |
