Does anybody have any experience -- good or bad --with Nissan dealer service departments in the Denver metro area? I've had all of the work on my '04 Mo done by my own mechanic, but now I need to bring it in to a dealer to see if transmission is leaking. I'm closest to Larry Miller Nissan and Go Nissan (Littleton), but I'll take it anywhere in the metro area if they have a particularly good service dept.

We just picked up an 06 Murano (purchased it in Chicago) and dropped it off at GO Nissan off of Wadsworth for work on an outstanding recall. So far everything has been o.k. I will say that the service department (or at least the gentleman I spoke with) was much more knowledgeable at the GO Nissan on Arapahoe. I'll let you know more after I pick it up today.

Picked up the car yesterday.
Pros: They were extremely fast, and returned the car to us quickly. They also noticed that the drive belts were wearing significantly (not a surprise with 67K on the car), and fixed it at a price in line with what others on the post have mentioned. They were extremely friendly, and willing to answer any questions we had. Work seems to have been done well, but time will tell. Cons: My biggest beef is that they again proved to not be very knowledgeable. They were unable to locate the part number for the chrome piece on the armrest (the one that several on this post have posted about for $30). Not a big deal, as I ordered it, but frustrating and it makes me wonder what else they are missing. They also returned the car to us as dirty as when we took it in. Not that it is a necessity, but all of my better dealerships have cleaned the car before returning it. It's always shown they care just a bit more. We also are having the trouble that some others have talked about where the car is a bit sluggish and makes a 'growl' type noise for the first few miles every day. Once the car warms up, everything is fine. We thought perhaps it was the air intake, and that the recall work might fix it, but upon getting the car back, it appears to be continuing. They didn't find anything wrong with the car, but I would think a good shop would have found this. In the future we'll probably take our car there for Nissan specific questions, but Birch Automotive (off Evans and I-25) will continue to get my business. |

I wound up taking mine to Larry Miller after a friend told me she'd had a good experience there. And I have to say I was impressed. Friendly, seem knowledgeable, and the repair (leaking seal) is covered by the extended CVT warranty.
