I think its called a bumper cover. Do a search for bumper cover and you should find some links to members pics.

No, the bumper cover is on the outside. The item referenced in the photo is on the inside of the MO.

I believe it is called the rear trim panel.

WorldPartsExpress.com sells it for $49.80 - $51.25, depending on color.

In the service manual the metal trim part (that you indicated was scratched) is referred to as the "Rear Plate Ornament" and is attached to the "Luggage Rear Plate".

The luggage floor trim section (pg. EI-38) in Vol. 3 of my 04 FSM refers to that piece as the `rear plate.'

Thank you so much guys! Ordering tonight...... now to take it out... The last time I tried I got the first few screws out (down below the spare tire area) and gave up because it was hard to hold the spare tire cover up with one arm lol

The second gens have a nice little hook and string attached to the underside of the spare tire cover to hold it up. Very handy.
You can see it in the top right corner of this picture (although I dont think this guy noticed it as he was using a light to hold up the cover)

Where abouts in WI are you?

Nice. My in-laws have a place in Sister Bay that I frequent so I travel around the east side of Green Bay a lot.

My 2005 also has that string and hook under the cover, then a seperate cord and hook for the felt liner tray that has to be clipped on (or you can set the liner tray out of the vehicle)
