It seems to me that the trip computer and the multi-function controller are not in sync with each other. Is there a way to do that?
I just had the oil changed and reset the controller. The trip computer is still giving me alerts for the oil. I have to reset that too. Thanks.

Thank you for the reply but I apparently did not ask a clear question.
I know how to reset the trip computer. What I want to know is why aren't the trip computer and the multi-function controller (above the radio) in sync with each other? It seems that they are sometimes (like gas mileage) and others not (like this time when I had my oil changed). I reset the controller but the trip computer did not reset. I had to do that separately. Did I do it backwards in that I should have reset the computer first and the controller would have been reset automatically? Thanks for your help.
