Hi,
I'm new here and have a question. Did Nissan use another type transmission other than the CVT in the Murano? Here's my story. I had a 2006 Murano S and traded for a used 2010 Murano S. The 2010 felt diffenent when going from reverse to drive than the 2006. Has a lag and sometimes a thunk when doing this. I dropped by the dealer to have them look at it. We test drove it in the parking lot and the service advisor said it seemed normal to him but wanted to check to see if my car had a regular trans and not the CVT. I was surprised as I thought all Murano's have a CVT trans. He took my VIN and told me I don't have a CVT and that's why it feels different. Can someone please verify that? I've searhed the web and this forum to find the answer with no success. Thanks in advance!! |

Not ALL Murano's have CVT's, it could have been an import from another country. Murano's sold to other countrys have the option of a non-CVT. They also have a 4 cylinder version available.
