I drove the Edge a few weeks back. Yes it was a 2010 but there is very little change to 2011 as far as I know. Ford has come a long way in the past few years. I liked the Edge but not as much as the Highlander. I drove both the same day in a side by side comparison.

We certainly have enough advertising without having it in our posts too!

![]() Going off thread topic for a moment and not trying to hijack it but, what happened to a couple of the regulars like BikerJohn, Enforcer, Coppercat and Nissanlove. Are they like D-Day from Animal House...whereabouts unknown? Bob1

Looked at 2010 Edge and the The Highlander before picking my murano. I found the Edge interior materials to look cheap, I really think the Murano interior is nicer than either car, plus it is really easy to get it and roomy

I'm not gonna lie...give me $35-$40K again today to spend on any new SUV out there, and the 2011 Edge (Sport) would be on my very short list to consider along with the Murano.
I looked at the Edge's back in 2008 when I bought my '09 LE, but they just couldn't compare at the end of the day. Now, stacked against the Murano, they have more horsepower and torque, 6spd automatic transmission (compared to CVT...opinion), comprable or even better gas mileage, similar advanced interior technology with possibly even more options (Sync system too), and aggressive sporty styling (subjective, but I like). The only area it may lag the Mo is in the quality materials department, but probably not as much as people think. Ford has really stepped up their game and the Edge is a quality SUV in the same class as the Murano.
