Hi All,
I am based in the UK and have a 2008 Mk1 Murano. I am looking to buy some Cobra side steps from the US as they are considerably cheaper, even after all the import / VAT taxes. The part number is NIS1245 (the online store I am looking to buy from has the part code as SOR-NIS1245) and is made by Cobra in Germany. I cant see any difference in the vehicle dimensions so I assume these parts are universal and will fit the existing pre-drilled holes on my UK vehicle? I have asked the supplier but they are not sure. Thanks in advance. |

I'd find a local dealer of that side step and ask them if it fits your MO. If they confirm or guarantee it then you can proceed with your order online. I'd even go to that local dealer and see for myself to be sure.
My guess is it should fit since its placed under the buttom trim screwed on the underside of MO. |

Thanks Nitely.
I have just had an email from Cobra and they say the part was designed on a European Z50 but couldnt say if there was any difference. As the part was designed in Europe (and I assume a UK vehicle would be classed as European) then the part MUST be 1 size only if US retailers are selling the same part (it is manufactured and shipped direct from Germany to the US). I guess I will just go for it as I am unlikely to get much more clarification than what I already have without going to a dealer and there is only 1 in the UK with stock and it is miles away!! Cheers |

Quick confirmation that the US / UK vehicles are the same with regards to the fitment of the sidebars from Cobra (Germany).
Fitted my sidebars a month or two ago and they look great - no real issues fitting them other than the fiddly way in which you have to push bolt-plates through the pre-drilled holes without any guide - so basically if you push them too far, you need a very strong magnet or thin wire to push them back within your range..... |
