Tales of used vehicles. I just sold my PF (end of lease) for a decent price, because I have the entire service record (which exceeds minimum Nissan requirements), washed it regularly, etc.
Two neighbours: One tried to sell a Blazer. We opened the doors. Garbage fell out. We figured he changed the oil as well as he tended to the truck's interior. No sale. Old Sentra: One oil change in 4 years. He sold it for more than he paid for it, and it was still going strong. How long these old cars last has something to do with how well you care for them (and how well it was built in the first place). I guess the Sentra tale belies that, but maybe the engine will not last as long as it might have. One oil change in 4 years... is that like brushing your teeth every week, whether they need it or not? |

My son's 2002 V6 Mustang which was about 14 months old and had 9,800 miles on it. We have triples who just started college, and having to take 3 vehicles (Mustang, RSX and Grand Am coupe) just to get all of their things down to school wasn't very practical. I'm very happy with the Murano so far and feel that it's a really nice vehicle for them.

2002 Audi TT 6spd
Had no choice, my wife was 4 months pregnant and the TT was only a 2 seater car. Wifey would not by my plea that the babyseat will fit in the trunk of the car!!!! j/k Anyways, I lost only $2,000 on the trade in, since I only had 13,000 miles on the TT. Anyways looking back, I'm happy that I traded in the TT for the Murano, since the safety and room was A LOT better than the TT.

My Mo replaced a 99 Purple dodge Durango. I loved that truck but it was falling apart. It had 110,000 miles on it and needed 2 valves replaced
I traded it in got next to nothing for it. I was looking at a pathfinder but the Murano had the pathfinder beat in every possible way.

I believe it.
We had a 1981 that stayed in the family for 15 years. When my daughter finally got rid of it, it still ran good. The intreior (Mouse fur) finally just rotted away. Looked sorta like this, but ours was blue. Homer

1992 Prelude Si - 130,000 miles. Put a lot of aftermarket mods (CAI, headers, muffler, etc.). It was plenty quick and a sweet ride, too. Ran like a champ even to the day I sold it. It still had another 100,000 miles in it, I'll bet. It was also my second Prelude (also had an '86). In fact, previous to my Mo, I only drove sports cars.
I wanted an SUV for a long time because I needed more room to haul stuff, but didn't want that boxy, 'looks like every other SUV' styling. And shoot me if I ever buy a mini-van. Then the Murano came along. I thought I'd miss having a sports car (actually, I almost fell for a beautiful, blue Z in the showroom), but the Mo is like the sports car of the SUV world. I put a lot of miles on my vehicles from my work commute. We'll see if the Mo survives like my Hondas. So far so good. Just a month old and I've got 1,800 miles on it.
