Grill

How did you do the blacked out grill? It still looks stock except for the color. I like it as well.

I took off the grille, removed the Nissan emblem (two simple phillips screws), sanded it down (by hand) to remove as much chrome as possible, then I applied like five or six coats of some closely matched black car paint (spray of course) found at Autozone or Pep Boys. After that I laid down a couple coats of clear coat spray.

That picture was taken back in October and the grille still looks like that today, even in this nasty Philly climate. There are little or no nicks or chips thanks to the amount of paint on there.

The color is not exactly the same as the body, but I kind of like it that way.

Hell, my wife wanted to know where I bought the grille, so I guess thatís a good sign if even she didnít know it was a DIY job.

That appears to be in great shape for an 03. How many miles do you have on it?

I love the mods - subtle enough to pass for stock.

That MO is beautiful!! I do think the grille and headlight mods set it off. Very nicely done.

Itís a pain. Time-consuming mainly.

However, I knew what I was getting into having done it back in college to my boyís í01 Acura CL Type S and my old 98 Civic a couple years back
