Hello everyone!

I have an 03 Murano SL (bought new back in the day) with a little over 70k miles on it.

I got my fog lights converted to HIDs today, 35W 6000ks in it.

Before the conversion:

Default HID Fogs

Awesome improvement. Was it a DIY project? More details would be interesting

Looks very nice. Did you install them yourself and if yes, how easy or difficult was it to get to the passenger side fog?

Thanks! and yeah, the passenger side was a bit harder than the drivers side. The windshield washer fluid was right in front of the fog light. I moved it a little bit but in the end, i just had to squeeze my hand around it to get to the bulb. It wasn't that bad. The drivers side was really simple, just take off the wheel well and change out the bulb. Total time it took was about an hour

Finally got around to partially debadging my murano today. I took off the SL AWD and the dealer badge. I don't know if it will look good without the Murano though...any input?

Heck yeah get rid of the murano badging too.

Looks good although i think 5000k would match the headlamps better. What size bulbs were they again?

I never understood the whole debadging thing. To me?...it looks like it was in an accident and the owner didn't replace the lettering yet..unfinished. But if you're gonna do it you have to get rid of the "Murano" also. Otherwise, it looks like you now have a base model.

I am with the "less is more" crowd. I was never a fan of manufacturer and model nameplates, and especially detest dealer decals. Some of them are downright hideous.

When you buy a house do you leave the builder's and realtor's signage on the property? Then why is it okay to hang it on the back of your car? I know I own a Murano, I don't need to be reminded.

I agree with dealer logos. I've never left a lot with one on any vehicle. The manufacturers nameplate however is a finishing touch to me. As I mentioned, once removed, it's now unfinished looking or damaged and not yet repaired looking to me...but I see a lot of people doing it nowadays. Usually younger kids and not usually on something like a Murano...lol.

yeah, just the murano on there looks a little "different". I'm probably going to take off the circular nissan emblem and move the Murano there.

If you remove the badge, people will say "Is that a Rogue?"

A cheap-skate husband could buy his wife a Rogue, debadge it, and tell her it is a MO!
