Well unfortunately, the kit is finally off....

Gotta say it does feel alot less stressful driving around not worrying about scraping everywhere or hitting parking blocks. Just gotta piece together a few plastic parts im missing including wheel liners and i should be solid.

Where'd you get that grille? I'm thinking of plastidipping mine.

Like the look. Did you get the 06-07 front bumper cover? Looks like something is missing from the lower opening. Need that chrome strip to finish the look! Don't forget the Nissan emblem.

Also get the 06-07 lower door moldings in chrome. That would look nice as well. That's what I got on my 04 MO.

Is that what i got, an 06-07 front bumper? I wasn't sure. It is missing some piece across the front, i think its a chrome strip and also its missing the foglamps. Aren't there supposed to be some bezels for the foglamp openings? Maybe i should paint those black hmmm.

The grille is a fiberglass custom made piece with carbon fiber overlay and built in DRLs. More about the grille soon, stay tuned.

Lastly, yeah i gotta swap out those rocker mouldings. Since i have an AWD it came with those large mudflaps but i really like how it looks without them. I was thinking about getting the FWD front mudflap piece thats flush with no real guard. But I was considering getting black rear bumper protector and matching rocker mouldings (lower door mouldings) since i was kinda trying to get rid of the chrome but now im thinking maybe i should get those chrome mouldings to match the door handles since my wheels will be charcoal colored, what do you guys think?

Can someone give me some insight on foglamps, i need to get some and i see some on ebay with halos, some with HIDs, etc. Do they just bolt right in or do i need to make mounting brackets for em?

I'd need to see the fog lamp opening in more detail to say for sure. Looks like you do have the 06-07 front bumper but which one is not certain. I think the 06-07 fog lamps were smaller than the 03-05 ones. The 06-07 fog lamps had that silver piece that went around them. Maybe some of the lower trim options had the 03-05 fog lamps and no additional trim.

Just go for the chrome lined door finishers and it will look fantastic. Also go for that chrome molding on the front bumper too.

Post a picture of the fog lamp opening and I'll try to help identify which lamps will work.

Hey Warhammer, i was thinking... instead of the chrome strip across the front, i found this one on ebay that says its PRIMERED even though the pic shows its chrome but its prob just a generic pic. I may pick this up and paint it black along with black foglamp rings, what do you think?

Hey Turbizzy,

Those opening are definitely for the fog lamp trim rings. They have snaps on top, bottom, left, and right. The fog lamps will fit into the inner circle and the trim ring will go over it.

Black fog lamp rings would look good with your upper grille. My personal opinion would be for you to get the chrome Nissan emblem on the upper grille, put on the OEM chrome strip on the lower bumper cover, black out the fog light rings to match your upper grille, get the chrome strips that go on the bottom of the doors, then get the chrome rear bumper cover. Would look tight!

Everything he said, but maybe instead, get the black chrome Nissan emblems (front or maybe rear too) from Courtesy Nissan. They would match your new GTR Hyper Smoke wheels and not contrast so much on the black grille. A nice mix of copper color, black, charcoal grays and chrome would look really nice. Just my opinion though. Take care!

Appreciate the advice, guys. I def wanna black out the fog rings but im also thinking about plastidipping the front emblem and front chrome strip black.

I am interested in the chrome side door lower mouldings, i think theyll match the handles good. I also just picked up the rear bumper protector in black from work for $21 but to my surprise its only doublesided tape on there and not any kinda clips that go into the holes. Oh well.

Sounds like you picked up the 03-05 bumper protector. You have an 06-07 rear bumper if you have the holes in it.

I'm not 100% sure if the 03-05 bumper protector will fit appropriately on the 06-07 rear bumper cover. It might but in my opinion it won't look as good. I think in your color, the shine of metal will make the whole thing pop! Good idea to black out the fog light trim, but I would suggest leaving the front bumper lower chrome strip alone and let it shine with the Nissan emblem up front.

Different tastes I guess. Would look good either way!
