Glad to see your post,
I have a 3 month old 2011 Super Black LE and noticed swirls from day 1. I was so bothered by them I began my internet research with gusto to learn all I could about paint repair and detailing. I take anything the dealer says with a grain of salt , but could not believe these swirls to be acceptable, but apparently it is very common. I found the forums you mention and others and have learned a lot the past couple weeks, that led me to order a Meguiar's DA polisher. Waiting for it to arrive next week with hopes to improve, , Surfing last night came across your post , great job ! your experience encourages me that I am heading in the right direction . Awesome , and thanks for posting your work and pictures, that is just what I needed to see right now. I am very happy with my new Murano, but I can't wait to bring the paint finish up to "better than show room" condition |

great job!!
you should try the new Meguiar's DA microfiber system... it'll cut the polishing time in half... I used that on couple cars already and its just as easy to use as the foam pads but much more efficient and effective...

I am going to be a little hesitant on my new Murano, but I plan to test out the polisher and learn what to expect from the different pads on my wifes 06 Altima first , it needs much more correction and I don't think I could hurt it's finish. |
