One night last week, I was cruising the Autopia forum and noticed a thread discussing this portable power washer. It operates off 12v power (12-18v range), has a 3.5 gallon tank, plenty of power, a great adjustable nozzle, and a long hose. I remember that some members on this forum, were lamenting the fact, that they were unable to wash their car themselves, because they did not have access to a water hose. Bringing a wash bucket out to the parking lot or street was no problem, but what about rinsing off the car? Nomad recently discontinued this smaller unit and is currently selling only their larger units for $200 and $250. The good news is that this smaller unit (normally $169) is being flushed out of stock and can be purchased new for as little as 40 bucks!
http://www.orangeonions.com/product/...RG?META=VERUTA I purchased one through Amazon (it was shipped from Orangeonions.com) and received it on Friday. I plan on using it for spraying an "Optinum No Rise" pre-soak, before I wash the car. It's built like a tank and works great. It not a "pressure" washer, by any means, but at 90 psi, is somewhat more than what you would get out of a regular garden hose and it's perfect for rinsing off a car. By Saturday morning, I had cut off the 12v power plug, attached two female spade terminal ends and plugged them into one of my extra DeWalt 18v battery packs. I wrapped the battery pack in a ziplock bag, placed it in the side netting and plugged the cord in the back. Now this little baby is totally mobile and really kicks some butt. Inside the tank, there is a submerged pump with a filtered intake hose. Once you turn it on and it powers up, it senses any pressure drop and turns on the pump when you squeeze the trigger on the nozzle. They won't stay in stock long at this price, so get one while you can. Here's a couple of photos of my 18v battery with the altered power cord and the Nomad H2O with the battery pack on the side. http://www.nissanmurano.org/photopos...papass=&sort=1 http://www.nissanmurano.org/photopos...ort=1&size=big Take care! Jim

That's awesome! I particularly like how you're using the DeWalt battery!
![]() FYI, another option that I've heard of people using (although haven't done myself) is picking up one of those pump-up spray bottles that is used for spraying weed-killer and whatnot. A cheap 2-gallon version of those runs about $10-$15 at Home Depot. Certainly doesn't put out the volume of water that a regular hose would, but it should do in a pinch.
