i decided to wash and polish and wax my car today. using Maguires NXT Car Wash, Ulitmate polish and Ultimate quick wax.... after working for at least 3 hours i was disappointed cuz it seemed there wasn't much difference in the look of the car b4 the polish and wax and figured maybe because i've only had the car 3 months it didnt do any good... but i guess i didnt see it because i was so close on it for all that time... but when i saw the pics i was impressed... just wish i had done a before pic.

i did like the products and would recommend them. i like maguires(spelling?) products alot and I'm a quick and easy sort of girl.. not thatany of this was quick and easy lol. but i was confidant that it wouldnt harm my paint job and figured it was a decent product. it actually left the car feeling smooth as glass. can't complain about that

Very nice. A brand new car's paint has a great gloss, so you're right - you don't actually see a lot of difference after the wax. I think for dark paints with the right wax it might be more evident. But you've got that nice slick feel and when you drive it in the rain, the water is going to fly off of it. The best thing is - the dirt and bugs will come off much more easily. I had a thick coat of pollen on mine this weekend, but after driving in the rain on Monday, it looked freshly washed.
Only one more thing you need is some tire shine. |

You can find several tire cleaning products at the parts store or at Wal-Mart. I'm partial to Armor-All, but McGuires sells this, too. You can get liquid spray, foam spray, wipe on ... I prefer the foam spray.
When you are done washing, after the tires are mostly dry (a little water won't hurt), spray a liberal amount of this stuff on the rubber and let it sit for 10 or 15 minutes. You should be able to do this without getting any on the paint, but if you do just wipe it off. You also want to wipe excess off the wheels.
