Default Zaino or Klasse?

I am torn between using Klasse or Zaino products for detailing. Which is better/easier to apply?

Thanks,
RZ

There will be very, very few people who can answer your question.

Since it is USUALLY two different kinds of people who use these products.

I have been a Zaino user for 15 years and no longer try anything else. Why Should I? I have won ribbons and trophys at car shows with my vette and again with my Miata.

The stuff lasts at least 6 mos I hear.
But I wash the car with Zaino car wash once a week and then I add a coat of Z2 about once a month after the wash.
So, my Murano, like my 97 Chrysler Town and Country will look better than new when it is 6 or 7 years old. Maybe I'll post a pix of the old Chrysler around here (And take some verbal abuse if I do! )

It "used to be" that Klasse was much faster to do than Zaino.
But Zaino now has an accelerator that does away with most if not all the waiting.

Try www.zainobros.com for the whole story.

Looking at Klasse which has been around about 10 years, it looks like sort of a knock off of zaino, in that it uses an acrylic base.

I understsand it is the best "quick and dirty" system out there. I wouldn't know.

I'll stick with my Zaino.

Klasse is easier for me as it is only two products, the Klasse All in One and the High Gloss Sealer. I want a great shine and most important, long term paint (coating?) protection, but I'm not willing to spend a weekend a month to keep up with it.

I got intimidated by all the different products Zaino had and then when the added the new speedy drying ingredient as an extra add on, they lost me completely.

dklanecky1,

I too have the Yakima LowRider system for my Murano. Did you cut the bars down yourself? Car looks great BTW. I am still trying to decide what to wax the car with. Where can you purchase the Klasse products at?

Well here is the old 1997 Chrysler Town and Country.
This car has had nothing but Zaino on it since she was born.
It has been over a year since she has had a complete Zaino treatment. It has been 6 weeks since she has had one coat of Zaino appllied for maintenance.
I did wash it today.
I wish it had been a nice bright day, but alas, we are a bit overcast.

This has sure been one good car.
3.8L engine, 24.3 MPG at 75MPH with A/C.
19.9 MPG from one tank to the next just running around. Suburban
driving. Very reliable with only one failuer in over 6 years. The Idler pulley froze and took out the Serpentine belt.

IMO this is still a nice looking mini. Of course it has a couple of dings.
You may be able to see a boo boo on the left front bumper corner.

AND with a Mini, I was not really as motivated to keep it as sharp as
either my 88 35th Anniversary special Corvette or my 1999 Miata.........or for that matter my Murano!

Default liquid glass

Can you guys tell me if Liquid Glass is similar to the Zainbro or Klasse that you are talking about. I got it at Sears hardware and have been polishing up my Murano with it. It is very easy to use. Wipe on wipe off with very little muscle power. I just keep putting it on .Any thoughts?

The Yakima bars actually were recycled from a similar setup I had on my 1995, then 2000 Maxima's. They're a tight fit width wise but saved me some $$$ from buying new ones.

Pictures of the 95 Maxima with 188,xxx miles on it.

By the way, filling the bars with some of that spray insulating sealant foam seems to cut down on some of the wind noise inherent with roof rack systems.

I got my Klasse products from one of these guys:

I can't remember which one it was. Shop them all!

I wouldn't buy that much unless you've got a couple of vehicles to do because it does seem to last a long time.

I'm finding my wife's using the All In One in the house now on stuff like the bathroom mirrors and on the ceramic tile in the shower, etc. (It's starting to get out of hand!)

Watch your cost per ounce of the stuff as the price drops dramatically in the larger bottles at some sites.

doodle, I don't know anything about Liquid Glass, I just read their website and I still don't know...but it looks very different from Zaino and Klasse judging by what they say.
