Default Leather Care / Seat Covers

Any recommendations on leather care. Is there anything that will protect the leather from saltwater? I often find myself driving with wet shorts after a day at the beach. This is my first vehicle with leather and I don't want to screw it up.

I am also looking for Neoprene seat covers but I understand that the seats have airbags in them. I would assume that a seat cover could hamper the safety of a passenger in the back seat.

Thanks,
Matt

Well, I never thought about salt water...but I use Meguiars products.

As far as seat covers, there are various shops that custom make covers for vehicles equiped with side airbags. Here is one I found on google:

Try http://www.wetokole.com/ for water proof (I think) seat covers.

Enforcer,
Thanks for the reply. After serching the internet myself I have come to the realization that I will have to have custom seat covers made.

Do you know if MO seats are shared by any other Nissan or Infinity vehicles?

Matt

PS If anyone is looking for rear seat DVD player I found this site.

Cool link dmako!

Not for sure and certain kitesurfer, someone else might know better, but my guess is they are close to the 03 Pathfinder. I know Nissan uses a lot of common parts maybe with minor variations. Easy way to find out, go to the dealer and ask/look around.

THe wetokoles are pretty good.
Where they didn't work out was on the Miata forum.
They do sun fade and are not acceptable for open cars.
But they apparently were pretty tough.

I have seat covers from www.autogeek.net. They are cotten so not water proof. But they are custom cut and have a cut out for the side air bags.

Slide alot on the leather seats but they are a good defence since I have dogs.
