Default Question about preserving center arm rest

In every car I've had, the center arm rest eventually gets nasty looking, loosing any shine and just worn down basically (though they've always been vinyl and not leather). So my 2 part question is basically, I have the leather package on my 06 Murano...is the center arm rest leather or vinyl? And is there anything I can do on a regular basis to prevent this wearing down I'm describing?

LOL...

Unfortunately the all leather package on most cars only means the center pieces of the seats where you sit on and lean against, and steering wheel and sometimes the shift knob are leather. The rest is simulated leather or plain vinyl.

Using leather and vinyl cleaner and conditioner on a regular basis will help keep it moisturized and give it longer wear.

Actually...never had a "new" car before and this thing rides like a dream...so this IS my Rolls Royce...or at least as close to one as I'll ever get!
