06-08 LED tail lights on 3-05 models

Hi everyone,

First post, and although I'm sure this question has been asked before, I can't find the answer by searching so perhaps someone can direct me. Anyway, I'm wondering if you can install the tail lights from an 06-08 model on an 05? They appear to be the same size, but I wanted to check before I shell out the cash. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

LOL....all you had to do was to search under "taillight".....

It can be done but you have to add a module. Look here:

Don't worry. If you give us your name and address one of our members will gladly fly out to your destination, purchase all the necessary components, do the swap, and as an added bonus, will wash and wax your MO. How is that for service?


Okay, now back to reality. The swap is not plug-n-play. You need to fabricate a board to get the LED lamps to operate properly. There are several threads that discuss this project in detail. One is referenced a few posts back.

It is not easy, but it can be done if you are adept at board fabrication.
