Good price, but $7 for item and $30 for shipping? And it is in the US...?

I wonder why....Oh I know, shipping charges are not refundable. Still maybe a good deal for some.

I just installed 3000k DDM Tuning HID's my murano. It's the canadian version murano equipped with DRL (fog lights are the DRL's). So far it's working so we'll see how it turns out. No relay's or capacitor's were used. Im actually surprised it worked without capacitors since drl's pulse rather than have a constant voltage....

The njjoe MO now has HID fogs to go along with the HID headlights.

Today I installed the HID kit from DDM Tuning. I elected to go with 35 watt ballasts driving the bulbs at 4,500K. The pair cost $35 plus $11.61 for shipping.

Installing the HID system was relatively easy because everything is plug-n-play. I removed the fender liner to gain access to the rear of the fog assembly and popped it out by removing the top-mounted bolt and pushing out on one of the two alignment pins. Kudos to Kris for posting that excellent hint back in 2003.

Once the HID bulbs were installed and the fog housings bolted back in place, the next task was to find a place for the ballasts. Unfortunately there were no good flat surfaces for double-back tape so I made mounting plates from some sheet stock. The ballasts were affixed to the plates with double-back tape and secured with two zip ties running through holes in the plates. I then mounted the plates using the bolt that secures the outboard side of the headlight housings.

The kits appear to be well worth the $46. One peculiar aspect of the DDM lights is the color of the output during the unusually long 10-second warm-up period. When initially turned on the bulbs have a very blue look that slowly turns white.

That warm up color change is quite normal, probably the effect of a "non premium" ballast. A 10 second warmup is a small price to pay....
If you watch your headlights, they do it too.

e-

Except for the extended warm-up I am very happy with the lamps. The output is excellent and the beam pattern reaches far to the sides of the road.

I had someone else drive the MO last night and experienced no glare whatsoever as my MO approached. The only issue was with the main lights as the car crested a large bump in the road. The beam pattern and sharp cut-off inherent with the fogs make them less prone to dangerous glare as compared to the headlights.

I think I'm done with the upgrades.... for now. That is unless Zero Cool comes up with a plug-n-play adapter to facilitate the orange to full-color information screen swap.

There is (and never will be) Plug N Play for a color screen. You have to do a little wiring and add the DCU. It is really easy....
You have to find an '06-07 (not an S) in a junkyard, get the screen, DCU, 2 DCU connectors and screen connector with as much of the wiring in between as you can get out, make a harness and you are done...
