Default Quick Afrermarket HID question

First off, great forum! Lots of good info here.

I traded in my 2008 Altima Coupe a couple weeks ago for a 2011 MO. Labor day weekend, end of the model year, couldn't beat the price. I wanted AWD for the Colorado winters, and wanted a smoother ride. I picked up a MO SL in Cobalt blue with Nav. It has basically everything I wanted except Xenons. My Altima was loaded and like most, once you go HID you can't go back. I was NOT going to pay to upgrade to the LE though. It just wasn't worth it. Money wasn't an issue but I couldn't figure on paying an extra couple grand just for headlights. Add to that the fact I HATE wood trim (much prefer the aluminum and black leather), didnt want larger tires (harsher ride), and could care less about heating my rear seats. While I love my Mo, I cannot fathom how a near 40 thousand dollar car doesn't have HIDs these days.

I got a set of plug and play HIDs for the projectors and couldn't be happier. It's my perfect car now. My question is this: when I installed the new bulbs, they don't rotate into place fully like the stock halogens did. It was about a 45 degree turn to remove the halogens, but the HIDs only rotate about an 1/5th turn in. The bulbs were correctly lined up, they are in there tight, the seal is good, but they seem to be in there turned just short of where they should line up...like the protruding wires should be lined up at a 12 o'clock position, but the bulb won't turn past 11oclock. Does that make sense? And believe me...they are TIGHT. I can't turn them anymore.

The beam pattern seems okay, but I dont have much experience with HID projectors. The cut off is fine, it looks OEM like the halogen cut off line was, no glare. Does the fact that the bulb is sitting in the housing maybe a 1/8th of a turn short affect the beam pattern? I know there's no filament like a halogen so the placement isn't as much of an issue, but should I work some more on turning the bulbs more or am I good?
