Can anyone help I have a 2010 TI Murano I bought a set of illuminated kick plates as yet I have not installed them because you have to remove the dash to access a multi plug and then piggyback it I thought there would have been a plug off the loom under the trim but no luck so I tried to connect to the door light switch but the door light switch has a small relay on it a three pin plug with one blue wire witch does not seem to be live the only other alternative is to take a feed from the door open warning light which might work any ideas would be a great help. pS The plates come with instructions for multiplug but taking the dash apart is a big job.

Suggest you follow the factory install instructions. Opening the dash takes minutes if you know how to do it. It is not a big job. Suggest you obtain a copy of the factory service manual which will facilitate you in opening the dash.

I'm guessing you only need to take the bottom of the dash off (in addition to the kickplate and a piece to the side of the foot rest. I did this when installing LED DRLs and it is not really difficult. A large nylon putty knife will be helpful, and gloves are recommended for tugging on the dash parts - the edges can be sharp and when the clips release they tend to do so suddenly.

Thanks Guys I was just looking for a quicker way. Have installed the kick plates now they are looking good they come with a loom you have to dismantle heaps of the dash SPEEDO ect to access the computer module remove one of the plugs and connect a T section and then run the wires along the back of thr dash and then down along the footwell to each side thats why I was thinking there might have been a quicker way but with all computer linked vehicles sometimes problems can occur . eg computer recognising drop or higher power consumption. So thanks Qat and thanks BillArf. Have just made daytime driving lights and fitted them modified the original lens better than nissan 6 LED ones 24 superbright LEDs I will post photos shortly and how to instructions. Moerano.
