I just bought hids to replace the halogen lights for my 04 mo, just waiting for the passenger side to arrive.
I'm still contemplating if I'll take the relay or the diode route.For you guys who took the diode route, any issues so far?Njjoe: Did you get the remote (in-dash) leveler to work? |

Hello,
I was just wondering if it's possible to put diode on the hi/lo wires in hid house assembly instead of putting it in the ipdm. It's like doing the relay route but instead of relay, put diode instead? Anyone?Possible? Thanks |

I just installed my hids this morning and all is working great. Now the problem is after I installed the diode my headlight is not working anymore. So I removed the diode and installed the old halogen headlight bulb but still the headlight is working. Can you guys help me on what the problem is? I already check the fuses and theyre working. I'm thinking about the relays, but how do you check them?
Thanks |

@Njjoe:
For this swap, do you need separate ballast to ignite? Or is it really just plug and play and you get HID instantly (low beam only)?

Is the HID-D2S is as the same with the 9007 hid bulb? Planning to change my headlights to projectors, but upgraded to HID Bulb 9007 on the OEM SL headlight assembly before, so was thinking if it had the same bulb, change will not be an issue, instead just replace the whole assembly and install the new headlight and plug everything into place, I think so...

Hey guys
I own a 2012 SL murano and wanted to replace the halogens. I found someone who could do it for less. He mentioned there are 2 kinds HID kit that only has low beams rendering high beams useless. Then there are the Bi Xenon lights. That have both. I am confused. Doesnt the head light up front have 2 light bulbs that are clear. So if I am to go with HID kit, would make 1 of the bulbs useless? Or am I missing something? I tried looking up pics of bi-xenon lights on an LE but it's so hard to make out anything thru pics. My concern is to use both low and high beams without leaving anything useless. |

I am somewhat confused on your question. Are you just talking about the kit of the real retro? and how much are they charging? if your are talking about Plug-n-play kit--- we just have low beam projector (and a separate high beam) so in that case a kit is just for low beam. if you are talking of retro-- baking open your headlight housing and replacing the projectors. and yes you can bolt either * single xenon (i.e, TSX, curr. gen TL, RX330) PRojector OR * bi-xenon projectors (i.e., OLD TL, mini D2s, mini H1, g37, etc) yet you can buy a splitter to have a bi-xenon and still use your high beam halogen. you should start a thread in 2nd gen owners, I want to do a retro again on my MO but my wife is holding me and secondly I cant really find a info on how to remove the housing on our 2nd gen MO.

I used the diode method to activate my high beams, and will look up the info when I get back home tomorrow.
