My check tire pressure light came on my 2011 Murano. My husband checked the pressure in the tires and they were fine. This is the 1st time the car has been in very cold temps (single digits to belwo 0). Could it be the cold temp? I am frazzled since I had a flat on my Avalon tonight 50 miles from home and 2 degrees outside. Don't know what car to take tomorrow to work.

When cold temps occur, psi will drops in the tire(s) and then you get the low tire pressure warning. If ONE of the tires psi dips down to 31/32 it will trip the ligh.
To reset, you must "exceed" 33/34 (so try 36psi) for the light to go out - and it can take a quite a few miles for the light to go off.. Adjust your psi only in the morning when it is cool/cold and before driving the car! Once the light is out, set to 33+ (34-35 for LE) when tires are COLD. The cold part is critical so do your tire psi adjustment only in the morning before driving. Remember, if ONE of the tires psi dip down to 31/32 and it will trip the light. By the way, ascertain your pressure gauge is accurate! .
