Hi guys,
I have an 06 Murano S AWD and my passenger side window is stuck half-open... Facts: - for the past year passenger side window has been closing slower than usual - when using the switch on the drivers side i hear the clicking on the passenger side switch - when using the switch on the passenger side i also hear the clicking - the window appears to still be on the tracks (doesn't close by hand) What I checked: - unplugged the switch on the passenger side and inspected for burnt wires From what I understand the switch sends current to the regulator which then sends current to the motor, is this correct?? Thanks for your time, Walter |

The term "regulator" refers to the mechanical lifter mechanism that your window rides on. The window motor bolts to the regulator and turns the gears which wind/unwind cables to raise and lower the glass. Regulators do go bad from time to time mostly due to worn out cables and/or gears and the only real way to tell if the regulator is worn out is to remove the door panel and have a closer look. May even have to remove the glass and motor and see if it spins with the switch.
