In doing a few DIY things between my car and my wife's Murano I made at least one bone-headed mistake. Apparently after I flushed the coolant and topped off the overflow tank I forget to replace the black plastic cap on the coolant overflow tank. I haven't found it hanging around the engine bay and haven't seen it in our garage or driveway. Where can I find a cap that fits our 2005 Murano overflow tank?

Check online sources at standard parts stores...but you might even find out that one from one of the random plastic bottles in your garage works. If you strike out everywhere else, check with a dealer. Even at dealer prices that will be an inexpensive part.

I would remove that reservoir and check the area again. Check here 2004 Nissan Murano Radiator, Shroud & Fitting - Diagram 7 21461 Its Part number 21712-79900.
