FS: Goodyear Eagle 235-65-18 50k miles 90obo

Hey guys, im in chicago area, selling my tires of my 2006 Murano SL AWD.
bought brand new, have just under 50k miles on these tires. if someone is interested, i'd like to get $90 for all 4. will take offers.
let me know.

I'm just curious as to what the tread depth is on those tires with 50,000 miles? I have never, ever gotten anywhere near 50K on a set of tires. The Eagles are supposed to start out with 10/32" tread depth, after 8,000 miles mine are down to between 7/32" and 8/32".. So if I extrapolate and say at <4/32" I have to replace my tires, I'm going to be lucky to get 25,000 miles out of my set.

i should add that i rotated my tires every 2-3 oil changes.. maybe that helped. but i usually get about 50k on oem tires.
at 49,787 it was 4/32 depth, per my dealer inspection report, when i did my oil change few weeks ago.

I agree with Halwg. Sounds like the only place these tires belong are in the middle of a gocart course. Maybe enough rubber to crash into. Sorry guy.

i appreciate your opinions. the market, however, disagrees.
plenty of 4/32 tread tires sell on ebay every day.

if i lived in a warm/ dry climate, i'd keep them on for another year or so, no problem.

I think you should sell them on Craigslist for whatever you can get. I'd expect to get $10-$20 or so each. Used tires aren't worth that much. Those are down to their last couple thousand miles, and traction will be poor throughout that period as well since the tread is so low.

4/32" of tread is only 2/32" of legal tread remaining - at 2/32 you have hit tread bar depth and it's illegal to run the tires further when the tread bars touch.

Frankly, it's debatable whether the tires are worth as much as the labor to mount and balance them.

i agree.. i put them up on craigslist too. i'll take whatever for the set. $90 is a benchmark price.. i'll give it to highest offer.

If you lived in WV where I live, you would understand why you don't run tires with less than 4/32" on them. Yes, 2/32" is legal, but you don't want to be running that kind of tread depth on these roads.

What I'm attempting to find for replacement tires is something that has about 12/32" when new.

i agree.. thats why im replace mine
now i'm trying to sell these to someone who wants a set to get by another couple thousand miles who lives in a climate that would allow him/her to do that.

That looks about right. I have close to 50k on my tires with about the same amount of thread left. Also from Chicago.. im planning on pulling through this winter with them and have them replaced next fall.
