Thumbs up 2012 Murano SL AWD with Bose & Nav

I Just thought I would post and give feedback on my experience with the CarKit and my new 2012 Murano. First for a plug and go product this is a terrific product offering to say the least. The ordering and response from Brian/CarKit was effortless. The directions are excellent with detailed pictures. I have installed my own car stereos in the past, but even if a novice the installation of this product is EASY. On the 2012 it is really just 13 screws and you are done. (TIP: After removing screws, pulling the center console up at top from the sides while you have your thumbs on top near screen, it pops right off). Total start to finish time was about 45 min (syncing home buttons to remote & testing included). The price of this product is a little high but for the convenience and NOT CUTTING any wires it is worth it. Let's face it you spent enough money on the Murano to begin with, it is worth the extra money you will spend on this slick unit to get the most out of your Bose/Nav unit.

Thanks to Brian(CarKit) & Bill for this thread to help us all get the most out our Muranos

Seano .... Enjoy that kit! ..... and thanks for taking the time to make your post here in regard to the Car Kit Company, bypass kit. Indeed a terrific offering.

As for the price, the price and availability of the connectors and other hardware that comprise the the kit is why the price is what it is. Brian would undoubtedly charge less for the kit if he could. Anyway, to me the kit is well worth the price and feel it is a terrific adjunct! Many others that have done the bypass install (their is a kit for each vehicle) on their Infiniti FX35, Nissan 370Z, Nissan GTR, Nissan Leaf or Nissan Murano report without question that they feel the same as I do.

I might add that the bypass kit can be very easily removed from your vehicle when you eventually sell the vehicle and you can resell the kit. Reselling the kit will reap you most of what you paid for same.

Important news: Car Kit Company now has a bypass kit for the Murano without Nav:

It is a great kit, no doubt about it. A couple of days in now and it works great.
Thanks again

Just have to say - another satisfied customer of the CarKit product - as everyone else has stated, it is fast and simple to install, and works!

Is the kit compatable with the Canadian 2013 LE Titanium?

This model now uses a different rearview camera.

The Car Kit Company kits are for the US Murano. The Car Kit Company bypass kit that is available for the US 2011/2012 Murano will work with the US 2013 Murano, that is all I am sure of.
