DDIN Install With Metra Brushed Aluminum Kit! - Nissan Murano

Long time lurker here, just wanted to show you guys how the brushed aluminum Metra Kit looks installed. The radio i decided to go with is the Apline INE-920HD along with a back up camera

I'm a noob guys so take it easy on me hahaha when i tried attaching the file they came out sideways. The links should do.

If anyone is near Longisland and wants to get the kit installed i had it installed at Movin' On Sounds they're located in Franklin Square, NY. They also installed Alpine Type R' Component's in the front and Type R Coxail's in the rear with tweeters in the dash. They also installed a JL Subwoofer and JL Amp.

Did you do a custom box for the sub? Got pics?

I bought this metra kit and Kenwood nav deck and going to install next week but no installer can tell me if the original backup camera will still work on the original display or is it wired through original radio and I am going to lose it if I swap the radio for Kenwood.

I have 2007 sl With Bose no factory nav

Also metra instructions say on the front page that i need 70-7550 harness and 70-7551. Is it "and" or "or" ? Some forum posts here seem to suggest that you can use one or the other but do not need both

Any advice appreciated

The 7551 is intended for Bose systems, and allows you to use your low-level outputs (RCA) from your radio. If you want to drive the Bose amp high-level, use the 7550.

The backup camera circuit does not involve the radio, so it should be unaffected by removing the OE radio. Note that I said "should", as I have not tried it.

Can I ask you an installation question though? Did you have to trim off anything to make the dash kit fit?

I didn't install it myself, but it doesn't appear that the installer trimmed anything to make it fit. If you would like i can try and get you better pics to show you where the kit meets the trim.

If you could that would be great! Looking at the instructions provided by metra, it shows that you have to trim some items to make the kit fit.

I'm going to try and install it myself, but I'm a uber noob as this will be my first time installing any type of stereo lol.

To follow up about the original backup camera - I got my kit installed with Kenwood 6190hd deck and the camera still works on the top display as it s indeed not wired through the radio

For the amp They had to use 7550 as when they connected with 7551 first the volume was too low even at max setting
