I bought and installed a USA Spec PA15-NIS.
It has an AUX cable & an iPod cable. With the AUX you have to control everything through the device but with the iPod cable you can do most of the controlling through the stock stereo. |

Murano driver, which would you recommend and why? PA15-INFI or PA15-NIS? I wanna get a PA15-INFI.

Yea the infi connects to the back somewhere instead of the back of the radio. But I would have to call USA spec and ask which one they recommend because all I have on my radio is the aux button.

I have a PA15-INFI installed in my 2007 S with just the base radio (i.e., no Bose) and it works great. The only difference between the INFI and NIS versions is that the NIS version connects to the radio head unit under the dash while the INFI connects to the satellite connector behind the left rear seat (near the spare tire). It doesn't matter if you have a satellite unit - the INFI works with or without it (I don't have one). MuranoDriver is correct about the controls - there is some iPod control through the radio, none for aux. One note - if you have a the latest iPhone or iPod (with the new Lightning connector), you'll need to get the Lightning-to-30-pin adapter, which I've read works fine with the USA-SPEC products.

put like i did behind the radio. i know you got very little room to play with but its the best choice since the ipod cable can come thru the bottom of the radio (with a little modifying of course).

I placed the main unit underneath the center console on the floor (access via the small panel that pops off in the back) and run the cable under the floor mats and through the back seat to the satellite connector. I then ran the iPod cable and an aux cable (you'll have to buy an aux cable separately) from the main unit along the bottom of the center console and up to the small storage area underneath the radio/environmental controls. Very clean install - unless you lift the rear floor mat, you'd never know any of it was there.

Ok that sounds like a clean install mburdett. Now I have the dvd entertainment headrest system. Is there any way I can connect that to this pa15-infi device and listen to the audio from the dvd through my speakers by pressing the aux button? Right now I have the fm transmitter for the sound from the dvd. But I want to get better sound without the fuzziness from the fm transmitter. I also don't want any wire sticking out from my monitors.
