Please help..I recently took aparty my 2003 MO radio (bose) in order to fix the "ribbon cable" isuuse. I was able to do all the dirty work and get the radio running flawlessly for about 5 minutes until it shut off on its on. Everything else such as the gps, heat and control still work however the radio will not power on. I checked all fuses, under hood and interior, took the battery out and still no dice. All electronics work except for the damn radio. I finally got the ribbon cable issue fixed and the cd player wasn't cutting out but now the radio won't power on

The normal process is to assume you managed to do something wrong while re-installing..maybe left a connector loose and it lost contact after a few minutes.
Best option I know of is to start pulling the radio again and watch carefully as you do it. check everything and re-install.

Thanks for the quick response.
I tried removing the radio, checked all connections and everything seems secure. Only thing I can think of is maybe the ribbon cables were placed in backwards but if that were the case then the radio wouldn't have turned on the first time to begin with. Maybe there was a short somewhere? I hope not
