OK guys, Maybe I should read my manual a little be more but I figured it should be
simple enough for a techie like myself, so here is my questions/issues... Subject: 2006 MO SE with 6CD changer. First, I put in a MP3 CD on the way home from the dealer and all I can get to display is "Fxx-x", as in the file number and the CD number.... Where is title?.... Oh yea, I can go hit "trip" button and see the title but then the NAV is gone.. Then if I change it to Disk view via setup, it's just the same useless number. Yet when the track changes you see the title for about a second.... Sooo... Is it the way I am creating the MP3 CD? I would not thinks so, or this just a really lame MP3 player.... ![]() As a side note I am using MusicMatch 10 to write my CD's, has any body had any better luck with something else. I also see in the manual that it will read WMA files, has anybody tried them?

I think it goes by how you have your file folders labeled. My MP3 disks show more info then my paid for CDs. I did read that it won't read some disks but it sounds like its reading your disk just not the labeling. It does actually work though. Try another disk. I can take a pic to prove if you'd like. I'll be out tomorrow washing my MO for the first time.

What do you use to build the collection? As far as another disk, this is the second one i tried. But both were made by MusicMatch.

i use roxio's. u might just have to tweak the way you organize the folders when creating your mp3 CD.

Well I made another CD today using
roxio's classic creator (v7). And I am still seeing the same time.... As you can see (underlined in red) the display only shows the folder or disk plus the file number. And if I punch the "Tune" knob (circled in blue) I get to the "display mode" and you can chose either file or disk. I can hit the "disp"lay button (red) and get this screen but then no NAV... Is this just the way it is, it's begining to look that way....

I have the same setup but have not noticed it because I have been driving without my NAV disc in. (waiting for my dual layer media to make a copy of the NAV disc first). So I see the full screen view.
I will have to see if mine does the same thing. Seems pretty lame not to display the ID3 tag info on that line instead of the file location. Should try a WMA file and see if it is handled any differently. |

If the player is displaying the tags correctly when you use the disp button to get the full screen, then you have burned the CD correctly. I get the same behavior, and I know the MP3 CD's I have burned meet the specs in the owners manual.
I don't have NAV, but I get the exact same display behavior in my 06 Mo when I am in any screen other than full display audio. I don't think there is anything you can do about it. Simple design shortcoming.

I checked last night, and sure enough, the display is the same. Pretty lame. As much money as auto manufacturers put into development, they should make sure these little things are addressed. I still love my Murano but this is sort of a stupid thing they could have improved. Hell, my old kenwood CD player for my camaro could scroll ID3 text on one line.
