New poll. What car did you keep the longest and why?

Hey everyone. I'm wondering what makes a car a keeper. I know everyone has their own opinion, so I came up with this poll. My car I held the longest was a 92 Olds Cutlass Supreme, for 6 years. She was also the firsr car I modded too.

The car I kept the longest was my 2005 Maxima. I kept it 7 years until I sold it and bought the 2012 MO. I had kept 2 cars for 6 years. A 1977 Cutlass Supreme, and a 1999 Dodge Intrepid.

The shortest I've ever kept a car was 2 years. A 1983 Cutlass Ciera that I traded on a 1985 Buick Electra.

My Murano was purchased in July 2004 and traded in March 2012, just a few months shy of 8 years. I usually keep my cars for seven years, it appears!

A 1949 Cadillac and 1957 DKW were the longest kept in the family as hand me downs. Both were sold in 1985.

Got my 1958 Fiat Spyder in 1968, sold it 43 years later in 2011. Liked that car a lot but no time to finish restoring it. Got my 1983 280ZX Turbo in 1990 and still have it 23 years later. I've had four Z-cars (1970 , 1976, 1982 and 1983) and this one is an old friend.

I have never found cars I enjoy dancing with more than Datsun Z-cars.

I kept my 97 Maxima 5 speed for 7 yrs until I got my 03 Maxima, which I traded in for the 2010 Murano. I found that I tend to buy cars that are 2 to 3 years old. My last 3 had an average of around 36k miles on them at the time of purchase.

2010 LE AWD Black, 36,521 miles: SOLD - Thule bike rack - foglights - navigation - stainless rear bumper guard - Bose stereo w/9 gig musicbox - lighted doorsills - hood protector - power liftgate - heated power folding rear seats - backup camera - Bluetooth - push button start - tinted windows - dual sunroof - iPod hookup - SiriusXM radio - cargo cover ... more to come. Also in the stable: 69 Mercury Cougar - cruiser, showcar, donut maker.

1990 Civic Si 17 years--270K until they stole it when I moved here in Vegas in 07.......just loved that car. Gave it a second life at around 200k when the timing belt snapped--- with the idea that its gonna be a great car for my daughter to learn driving with a stick. Cheap to fix and great on gas.

I never buy brand new either. Usually I get a car at least 5 years old. After its broken in and around the time licensing fees start to drop. When I get my cars, they usually have between 80-95k on them.
