I had to vote "NO." But I have debadged all of my previous vehicles. For my first car, a Corolla, the Toyota "T" badge had 2 pins securing it to the trunk. Since I didn't want 2 exposed holes in the trunk and also wanted to be unique, I flipped the "T" over. During a visit to the dealer, he called me into the shop to point out what "vandals" had done to my badge!

I would have debadged the MO soon after I bought it but my girlfriend said that the badging was a "feature" she liked!!!

Question: does anyone have pics of the MO without the "Nissan" emblem? I'm wondering what it looks like since the rear body has a roundish area for the emblem.

I took it off along with the rest, didn't like the look. I put it back on but painted it met. black to match the grill and exhaust tips.

I am considering doing this now too, since I hate trying to use a Q-tip to get wax out from in the lettering.

Has anyone with the Nissan emblem removed posted pics? has anyone pulled the front one off too?

Search the gallery, I know I've seen MOs debaged. There's even a debadged black MO floating around with the rear windshield wiper removed!

As for the front emblem, I think it might look strange without the nissan emblem since the grill has a round cutout with 2 notches on the side to match the Nissan emblem. Maybe replace it with another similarly-shaped emblem? I'm planning to replace the rear emblem with a round celtic knot! still trying to find one large enough.

Yeah, i posted that and then went out to look... there would be a Nissan shaped hole in my grille... haha not what Im looking for.

At this point then, it wouldnt make sense to remove the rear nissan label, and leave the front one!

I had an integra and the Acura emblem, as well as the wording had plugs, I welded them shut and removed the rear wiper too, that was a much bigger hole to weld.

Keep in mind too, and this is what made me decide against a total debadge, if you have AWD it might be a good idea to keep those letters on the back. If you ever get towed, you don't want your tranny damaged because they flat-towed you. And the tender CVT doesn't need the help!

Yea they would. Any operator who doesn't know what a rear differential looks like isn't towing my car.

A friend parked illegally and they towed his Subaru with a wrecker. Bad move!

Anywoo, yea we debadged the Murano.

Actually She wanted Murano left on so it was a partial debadge.

yeah, thats what I figured, its not hard to see if its AWD or not. Anyway Im not going to consider that a deterrent for debadging. Itll be coming off as soon as I have some time. Ill leave the Nissan on front and back

I was actually referring to a public tow (because you're parked illegally), not when you've requested a tow for your own vehicle. Either way I was still incorrect;

They're supposed to note all pre-existing damage at the time of the tow. Glad to find out the law is on your side in this case.

I've been thinking about this for mine too. I've always done it to my other cars and love the clean look and like others have said, we know what we're driving.

I've found these to work great, like others have said, Hairdryer/Heater to warm up the rubber, Fishing Line to remove the emblems, then Goo Gone and Clay bar to clean the car itself.
