Question How long before you Modded your Mo?

After purchase, how long did it take before you got the itch to modify your Mo? I also added a never selection.

Based on my registration date to this forum, it was 3 months for me.

biggun-

I purchased the rear bumper protecter while the dealer was finishing the paperwork on my MO. I actually had the first mod in hand before I had the keys.

I second that, I actually placed the order for my new wheels before I took delivery. I just couldn't wait to get started!

I did my first mod after I joined this club. In fact, that is what inspired all of my mods.

I have not done any mods. At least I would not consider them "mods"....

Okay. I suppose I should not consider putting a yellow sticker on my fog lights a "mod" either, but I do because that is not how the car came out of factory. Most people do not consider changing light bulbs to something brighter a mod either but they should because that is a reall "mod"ification of their car from OEM....

Kris,

I believe Z is right on this one. I would definitely consider the "Fumoto oil valve" a mod. Does it change the look of the car like a giant spoiler or 22" rims? No, but neither does an amp and sub or changing out the speakers.

IMO - if its not a dealer part, its a mod. If its a dealer part than its an upgrade (unless it was intended for a different use like the ipod adapter for the xterra). I consider some upgrades mods since I may be installing it not how it was intended to be in the factory (ex. fogs)
