Default Performance Brake Upgrade

For those interested in upgrading or replacing your OEM brakes on your first gen Murano.

Rotors: DRT Sport (Design Rotor Technology)

You can find these on eBay or the website: drt-sport.com

Don't be scared by the price. I used these on my 300ZX with a Caliper Upgrade and Stainless Steel Braider Line. Alot of Subaru guys use them on the auto-x cars.

For pads I recommend the Hawk HPS. Great pads not noisy and not too dusty (But you all clean your wheels weekly right? )

Part Numbers:
HB370E.559 Disc Brake Pad; Blue 9012 w/0.559 Thickness; Rear;
HB370N.559 Disc Brake Pad; HP Plus w/0.559 Thickness; Rear;
HB370F.559 Disc Brake Pad; HPS Performance Street w/0.559 Thickness; Rear;

Looks good. Do you have a picture of them with the wheels on?

I haven't finished the Murano yet.
I'd Like to add a brake caliper kit on it.

Are you asking about the Z?

I'd like to see the Murano when it's done. So you're putting the same brakes on both cars? Btw, a Z and a Murano are a good combo.

The Murano is the woman's, so I can't go crazy on it.

However I'd like to see if the calipers bolt up. If they do, the 4 pistons will go on the Murano when I upgrade to 6 pots.

Yea that's normal for caliper upgrades.

My next set will be 350Z Track Calipers and rotors.

I just ordered a set of Drilled/Slotted rotors and Ceramic pads from Ebay. As per another member on here they are great. Should be getting them in next week. If it doesn't start snowing up here, I plan to replace all 4 as soon as I get them. Will post pics after instal.

PS. Is there anything special I need to know before taking off front and rear rotors on the Murano?? (any special tools or tricks to make it easier) I hope it is as simple as any other car.

Thnx

Sorry it took so long, I forgot to post pictures up in here.

Please take a look at the below link for pictures.

After 2500 KM, the breaks work awesome, better grip and definetely better looks on all 4 corners.

Early Christmas - New Brakes

Looks good, but now you need some aftermarket wheels to let those rotors shine thru.

Yes, Im trying to find a nice thin spoke concave rim, but its hard to find something with a reasonable budget. Still looking.. I want to stick with 18" though for the ride factor.

Come on! At least go up to 19"

Those wheel wells are HUGE.

Is there a separate foundation for the tires also? Is this a non profit?

What is the CEO and CFO compensation?

If you want to stay Nissan you could do what I did. I put my 18" '07 350Z OEM wheels on my MO when I go new Z wheels. Not quite concave, except in the center. I like them on the MO. They're staggered (18x8 and 18x8.5) so rotating would have to be by removing the tire, but I may not worry about that. I like the wider track of the wheels and they are lighter than the stock MO wheels. Z owners seem to be selling them a lot when they go aftermarket.
