Question FX35 the same fitment for suspension?

Since I can't seem to find any "performance" shocks and struts to fit our Muranos, I was wondering if the FX35 or 45 share a similar part. If so, does anyone know if those Infiniti parts are tuned for a stiffer suspension and better handling?

SE models like my 04 AWD have tighter/stiffer suspension than SL on the first gen. Don't know if the LE got that feature? I'm sure infinity has the same option.

I'm looking for recommendations for a second generation, '09, Murano. KYB is the only source that I've found that lists the Murano, and those are "OEM" replacements.

JH-

You could take truckintube's approach and install stiffer springs on the four corners.

ok H&R spring is in

Thanks, I saw that earlier, but not sure about the "lowering" aspect for this vehicle. Interestingly, I also don't see SE shocks called out in any catalog as a different listing.

Given the Murano is built on the D platform, I would think you might be able to use Altima suspension parts, but not sure.

I checked that out also, and the part numbers are different for the Altima. I would imagine it's the raised height of the Murano that would require the shocks to be longer.

I've seen some coilovers for murano was able to work on FX35, so I say it would work...
I seen on the infiniti forum that one guy used murano one to drop. and didn't see issue, which would work right on backwords... this is coiloverkit for fx35 that looks identical to the one for murano.

BC Coilover

Install with pics.

their suspension is smiler...

I'll see if there is coilover for FX35 in Japan so I can compare the model and kit # and see if they are same... I'll keep you guys post it.

Jim,

you can also get air suspension kit/ air struts if you want to go that route. Helix and airbagit both have air struts available. I'm probably go with that router in next spring.
