Default Replaced stock mid-pipe with 350z mid-pipe

Did this today, and made no noticeable difference, its a hair louder at the upper RPM range, but still very stock sounding. I'm disappointed as I was expecting a bigger difference. I'll be putting a stock 350z muffler on soon though.

Keep us updated on the 350z muffler!
I'm thinking of swapping mines out with a fx35 muffler.

I just aquired a stock 350z muffler from a buddy of mine, so I should be installing it soon.

Decided not to go with the 350z muffler, was way too much of a pain to get it to work. I will be going with a electronic cutout instead after the midpipe.

Cut-outs? I haven't heard of cut-outs in years. The last ones I played with were installed on a 70s-era Chevelle SS 396, and they were mechanical. It is nice to see they are still in use.

Listening to the Chevelle's big-block run through the gears with open headers was a joy to the ears. Listening to the CVT-equipped V6 may sound like a 250hp Mercury outboard pulling a skier. The absence of the gear shifts takes away some of the magic.

Why not just install a flowmaster and be done with it?

Its never gonna sound like an FX or Z because of the lack of shifting and the engine tone never really changes due to the cvt trying to keep the rpms as steady as possible. Its def gonna sound like a boat that never shifts.

There's this altima couple 3.5 thats in the shop right now with dual ricer mufflers and it sounds like complete ****.

Don't like the sound of the Flowmaster. I'd like to keep the quietness of the stock muffler, and with a e-cutout I can do that. Cracking open the cutout just a bit will make the car sound a little louder. As far as the boat sound, it won't sound like that if its in manual mode, which most of the time I am.

I had one of these on my WS6 and it worked great.
