Thanks bbeckley I appreciate it. Also, how many inches is your gap in the rear from tire top to fender?

Do you still have the box or receipt with the model #?

I haven't been able to find any NEX applications for the Murano.

The part # on my box was SS1-IT04, I assume bbeckley's was the same?

It'd be hard to find them unless maxspeedperformance has more in stock and puts them on ebay. It definitely isn't on their site. Here's the ebay link that ended:

NEX FULL SUSPENSION COILOVER SS SERIES NISSAN MURANO 2005+ | eBay

Spoke with maxspeedperf Friday, the guy said he'd talk with the manufacturer to get confirmation again. Per manufacturer it "should fit" on 2005+ Murano, but per maxspeed guy, the part # seemed odd since the Nissan parts are designated with a "NS" and Infinity parts with an "IT", interesting.

Now I'm second guessing the info the installers showed me about the height difference...this is giving me a headache!

bbeckley - Have you been able to find out what part number your set is yet?

Their website only has these applications...

SS1-NS03 1995-2000 NISSAN 200SX SS1
SS1-NS03 1995-1999 NISSAN SENTRA SS1
SS1-NS04 2000-2006 NISSAN SENTRA SS1
SS1-NS05 1996-1999 NISSAN MAXIMA SS1
SS1-NS06 2000-2003 NISSAN MAXIMA SS1
SS1-NS07 1995-1998 NISSAN 240SX SS1
SS1-NS08 2003-2006 NISSAN 350Z SS1
SS1-NS10 1989-1994 NISSAN 240SX SS1
SS1-NS14 2004-2006 NISSAN MAXIMA SS1
SS1-NS15 2005-2008 NISSAN VERSA SS1
SS1-NS16 1990-1996 NISSAN 300XZ SS1
SS1-NS21 2002-2006 NISSAN ALTIMA SS1

SS1-IT04 isn't currently listed.

SS1-IT01 2003-2006 INFINITI G35 SS1
SS1-IT03 1997-2002 INFINITI G20 SS1

I wonder if what they list is only for applications currently in production.

Update: Maxspeed spoke to the manufacturer and they will be sending me a new set of rears. Hopefully this will all work out. We'll see once it actually arrives.

MuranoDriver, that is probably a fair assumption. The fact that they were selling a limited amount on ebay makes me suspect they didn't have many Nex coils in stock for Muranos :/

Question

Another update: Finally had a chance to have an installer put in the Nex rear coils/shocks. I've been so pumped to have this done! The manufacturer Fedex'ed me the new springs. I did also ask if the rear shocks will fit OK as well and they said it should fit. Well, installer found a major fitment problem and he thinks the rear shocks must be for a different model or year maybe even a M45. #1 - The upper mount is narrower than the stock upper mount which means the bolts can't align properly with the holes (see pic). #2 - The Nex shocks are longer than the stock shocks even when we set it at the lowest setting (see pic).

I've talked with Maxspeed and they were very helpful. They'll talk with the manufacturer again and hope we can get this all finally resolved. I hope to hear something Thursday.

Does anyone know if it's possibly there was a split in models where the rear suspension on a 2004 has different parts than a 2005?? I know bbeckley mentioned he had no problems at all installing his Nex coils ..it's a headscratcher

Bummer! Trust me, having a lowered murano makes me wish I had a shorter rear shock because that's what's limiting my rear suspension travel and with passengers I really wish I had just a tad more travel. The fact that the shocks are longer than stock is not a good choice to install in my opinion.

As far as the mounting plate, are you able to swap mounts from the stockers?

I was thinking of putting some custom made to order rear shocks by QA1 that are adjustable dampening like I've done in my truck. Could you please do me a huge favor and measure the distance between the 2 bolt holes in the stock mount, overall extended length and fully compressed length of the stock shock end to end? I'd appreciate it.

Sorry turbizzy, right now the rear stock shocks are in with the new coils and it's bumpy as ever..when I get them replaced I'll see if I can get some measurements.. So looks like I'll be getting refunded by maxspeed since the manufacturer hasn't been very helpful in resolving the shock issue..it's been a stressful time!

Just curious, were you not able to swap over the upper mounting plate from the stock shock onto the NEX shock?

Say, I am looking at lowering my '05 Nissan Murano SL AWD. How is your aftermarket suspension kit working out for you? I just recently started looking and maybe you could give me some pros and cons or your thoughts from your experience?

Any help would be nice, thanks!

Has anyone heard of Yellow Speed Racing? If so, what is your opinion of them and/or their products? I see they do have a Yellow Dynamic Pro Sport coilovers 02-07 Nissan Murano 33-Step adjustable suspension system.
