Default Cooper CS4 or Michelin Cross Terrain

My 05 Murano SE has 97K Km needs new tires. After reading most tire posts here, I came to the choice of CS4 vs CT. I am from Regina, Canada. All specialty tires that are not carried by Costco or Canadian Tires pretty much all sold at full retail. The CS4 is pretty much the only recommended tire here that is cheaper than the CT from Costco.

I incline to have 5 tires rotation and this will be the last set of tires I need. A life time rotation by Costco may skew the eventual price/performance ratio. Costco charges $15 per tire and that is including the road hazzard plan. Other shops installation charge ranging from $17 to $20 per tire.

Regina has quite a bit of snow and ice but we will move to Vancouver in next year of so so ice will not be such a bit problem.

Dealer here in Manitoba praises the CS4--usually knows what he's talking about! Good luck if you are still in SK!

I installed a set of CS4 yesterday. It is a lot quieter than the stock.

What tire pressure you guys are running? The tire sensor seems to be a psi or two lower than my digital guage.

I keep my CS4's at 35-36 psi. I just rotated mine again last weekend and, at 2 1/2 years old and with 33K miles on them, they still look (barely worn), and ride great. They also performed well on ice and snow the past 2 winters.

My TPS sensors always run 3-4 pounds lower than the actual pressure. I keep my Murano tires (regardless of brand) at 40 PSI all around, provided max pressure indicated on the sidewall is 44 PSI.
