Default Snow tires? New rims or just replace the tires?

So I thinking about some snow tires for the upcoming winter. I have started the research and I have three major options.
1 By new rims, tires, & TPMS
2 New rims, & tires
3 Just replace the tires with OEM rims & TPMS
There are pros and cons to each. If I go option 1 it is costly and rumors that I have to get the TPMS synced up at the deal for even more money.

Option 2 seems OK but then have to deal with the TPMS light on during the winter, I will save some cash since the TPMS are very expensive and no need to have to go to the dealer to sync them up, which again will save some $$$

Option 3 could be the most cost effective but not sure how good this is on both sets of tires being pulled off the rims every spring and fall?

What would you do?
Thank you

I have recently bought so far just wheels and tires and I'm still on the fence about TPMS. I do have a question regarding what will happen if no tpms is installed? Will the light just be on and will it beep as well, I can deal with the light but that high pitched beep would drive be crazy if it goes off every time I start the car. Also if I do decide to go with another set of sensors does anyone know if the murano has the capability to store 2 sets of sensors? I know some of the other brands (ie. Acura) can store 2 sets of sensors so that you only have to go to the dealer once.

Sorry I'm not trying to thread jack but I though these might be questions you might already know or be interested in also.

Cheers

Just got new rims and put snow tires on the factory rims. Lovin them. having the two sets of rims will prolong the life of the tires not having to stretch them. Another good reason to get another set of rims is discount tire and other shops wont charge you to have them switched out. I had them switch the tpms's to the new rims so the light is only on during the winter. Let me know what yall think.

[QUOTE=HowietheGeek;181200]So I thinking about some snow tires for the upcoming winter. I have started the research and I have three major options.

I say option two. I got four used Murano rims (new 18" take-offs) for only $250 off ebay. (You can get new aftermarket ones from Tirerack as a winter package that come mounted and balanced). I mounted new snows on these without TPMS (too much expense and hassle for re-syncing at dealer). I live with the lTPMS light on three months of the year (no beeping). A few miles after you put regular tires back on in the spring, TPMS goes off, no dealer visit required! I managed to get through 25 years without TPMS and just check tire pressure once a month.

when the tpm system is not working properly you will every now and then throw a code for the traction control system if it is installed in your vehicle. The light will turn on every no and then when the vehicle is started. If you shut down the car and restart it, the light will then be out. Been through this when my 2 sensors went face up. Through the dealer the sensors are only about 80$ each. Or if you look around on ebay I just purchased 4 for 80$ shipped to my door. They may not be ne but who cares,. As long they work. As for having the dealer sync them up, i would suggest you find out pricing between having your rims and tires installed VS them being synched up. I found that when going in to have the synched it was more expensive then having them do the physical labour of installing and synching. Weird right?
