Default Need Help Choosing Tire Size For Dubs

Ok so i got some 20x9.5" wheels with a +45mm offset and im trying to decide on a good tire size. Im kinda going for that chunky tire look but not too big cuz i'd like to have the speedo somewhat accurate and not rub since im lowered.

P255/40R20 seem to be too small for my liking. Here's a teaser pic!

VERY NICE! Are those GTR wheels? Just make sure your new tires have enough "bulge" to protect those beautiful wheels, especially since it's the wife's car, right? Take care!

Yes they are!

Ok so good news. I swapped in a junk 275/45R20 and it turns out it fit pretty good! Lots of room between the strut and very close to the wheel well at full lock but no rub that i can feel or see. What do you guys think, looks ok or bigger?

I am not a big fan of very low profile tires. The second one is better. Is there one more size up to fill it? When are you gonna paint 'em kits man? I'm dying to see how it looks. Are you still selling it?

turbizzy,

I think those tires look just about right. Infiniti FX35/50 owners who install GTR wheels, use that tire size also. Don't you just love that Hyper Smoke finish on the wheels? One look at a GTR on my dealer's showroom floor convinced me to refinish my LE wheels the same. Take care and get that car painted!

Looks nice to me. I agree that keeping enough sidewall to avoid wheel damage is a good idea. If those fit with no rub, I think you are in good shape.
