The screen for the 06 shouldn't be different than the 04. I think they used the same screen for all the years. There was a part number change over the years but other than that, nothing new.

The only change that I could see between the years as far as connectors was for the back of the audio/ac unit. I'm not 100% sure about the connectors for the NCU. I'll look at the 06 Service Manual av.pdf section to check for sure.

The early screens probably didn't have the composite video input for the camera.

Was that an input to the DCU or the screen itself? I thought composite input was through the DCU.

Composite goes directly from the camera/camera control unit to the display

I was thinking about doing this upgrade on my 03 and think I can get the parts but don't think I can get the connectors for the wiring harness. Does anyone know how I can go about getting the connectors so that I can make my own harness?

Not 100% sure where Nissan got the connectors. I just got the dash wiring harness and extracted the sub harness from there; reference first page and pictures.

I figure you can got o digikey, newark, or allied for connectors. Just not sure what to look under.

I'm honored. You picked my thread to for your first post!

There are multiple threads throughout this forum in regards to using aftermarket solutions. One member put in a Carputer, another put in another system that wasn't identified. The absolute best solution in my opinion for your setup is to relocate the original orange screen and put in your aftermarket navigation system. There are people that have relocated their original screen to the roof or below the 3 air control knobs.

Whatever way you go, if you want to go aftermarket, you need to make sure you relocate your original screen to keep its functionality. Then in a separate system, wire in your aftermarket navigation system. It won't have anything to do or interfere with your OEM setup.

I was looking at a navi setup that came off an 07 SL (I have an 07 S) but the harness that comes with the navi includes connections for VDC and Intelligent key, which my Murano does not come with....can I still use this harness?

Also where can I find this excel spreadsheet?
