Default HELP! i HAVE TRIED EVERYTHING.

I have an 03 mo and I refused to pay 250 to replace the headlight. They are HID's. I went to o'riley's part store and picked up a bulb for $90. Pulled the old headlight out and replaced it witha brand new one and I still don't have a headlight. We pulled every fuse from all three locations and tested them all. Then we moved on to the relays. All the relays checked out good. Still no power on the volt meter to the bulb. We wired wires from the battery to the silver thing on the back of the bulb and got one split second of a flash. Who designed these headlights and what were they thinking? Im pretty sure these ballast are pretty expensive. Is there a way I can convert the whole assembly to regular headlights? Or does some one have an Idea that I can try?

And its crappy the way they have us diagnose it too. They pretty much tell us to swap in known good parts, basically swap from one side to another.

If its not the bulb, and its not the ballast, then you need to replace the entire headlamp.

Im sure someone here with halogen headlamps will be willing to trade with your Xenons. I would make a thread in the classified section.

Has any one replaced the ballast on these things before. If so where did you get the ballast and how much did it cost?
