Post '05 Murano- Replace brakes again???? only 50K

2005 Murano SE at 30,000 the front pads were replaced and rotors turned. Then, 2 years later at 43,100 front and rear pads were replaced and rotors turned, instead of replacing like I requested.
Now, at just under 51,000 and less than 1 year later, the dealer tells me I need new pads and rotors on front and back. They told me the pads would be under warranty(12mo and 12,000), except for the condition of the rotors (which is also their fault) but if I pay for rotors they will cover pads, but it is still over $600
I do not ride the brakes or drive hard. I maintain my MO well. Unfortunately, I have all my service, except tire rotations, performed at the dealer. I asked when they rotated my tires to check the brakes. They said the rotors and pads looked fine. Another opinion told me front was fine but rear pad was less then 1/4 and rotor was uneven.
HELP
1.I feel they are ripping me off but since the pads are covered I want to have them replaced.

2.Shouldn't pads last longer than this? Dealer told me I do not drive MO enough is why rotors and pads are bad.
3. Causes for pads and rotors to wear quickly?
4. Recommend Brake Pads and Rotors for MO that wear better than OE? I have someone who can replace them.

Thank you

You need to see a different dealer - or abandon that dealer and work with an independent shop. Unless you're in constant stop and go traffic, you shouldn't have needed brakes at 30K. Replacing the same parts 21K miles later is a first in my experience. I should mention that you don't get to choose whether they turn the rotors or replace them, but recent posts to this form have made it clear that there's very little room for turning rotors.

I have never seen or heard any justification for a claim that you don't drive it ENOUGH. That's B.S. I don't know why the rapid wear - it makes me wonder if there is a problem with the brake system.

I don't know why the brakes are wearing so quickly, but I'd go to another shop. I also would not pay $600 for rotors. At this point, I'd provide aftermarket rotors to them (they will refuse to provide any warranty for parts they don't provide, but you'll never go back there anyway) or just take it to another shop. You can get the whole job done at an independent shop for $600.

Do they ever give you the meaurements of the pads and rotors? Do you ever request for the old part back? Causes of early pads wearing out would be driving habits and caliper siezing. Akebono pads seems popular here, I personally used the CMAX from autozone for my rear pads that I changed around 50+K and still got the original front pads on my 04-now 80K. Your front pads replacement is a bit early. The rear pads could be about due but you got to get measurements. The rotors are the same thing get the measurements. Changing rotors that early is very odd unless you feel its warped when hitting the brakes--pulsating feeling--vibration at high speed. Otherwise its just money for the dealer.

There's another brake thread in which the minimum thickness for rotors is cited - it's OK to turn them (if needed) until turning would reduce the thickness below that measurement.

I don't even turn rotors unless there is a surface problem or warping - but I would not expect a shop to take that approach, as it exposes them to complaints from customers.
