Default Flaky Headlights?

Has anyone else had the INSIDE of the headlight lens start flaking off?

There are no leaks but there's an interior plastic-like layer that is cracking and flaking off. The exterior of the assembly is fine.

Don-

That's a new one.

Out of curiosity, what year is your MO? Halogen or HIDs? What area of the country do you live in? Maybe the answers can shed some light on the problem.

One last set of questions...

Is the problem in one lamp or both? Are the "flakes" adhering to the inside of the lens or do they appear to be sitting on the bottom?

One, (passenger side) and they are (so-far) sticking to the lens and not dropping off. It's not one spot either, they're pretty much covering the entire interior of the lens. It doesn't appear to be smoky or hazy like an old headlight. It's a clear layer that is cracked and flaky like old latex paint on a wet surface that is cracked and pulling away.

The other headlight (the driver's side) is clear (except for one edge crack on the interior of the lens.)
